Monitoring Committee
The participating states have agreed on a joint programme management structure. A joint Monitoring Committee including all eleven countries decides on project applications, oversees the overall implementation and is responsible for the correct use of the ERDF funds.
The Investitionsbank Schleswig-Holstein is acting as Managing Authority and Certifying Authority concluding grant contracts with the projects´ lead partners.
The focal point of information and practical day-to-day implementation is the Joint Technical Secretariat located in Rostock/Germany and Riga/Latvia.
The Audit Authority verifies the effective functioning of the management and control system of the programme and ensures sample audits of projects. The Audit Authority is assisted by the Group of Auditors comprising representatives of the participating countries.
National subcommittees play an important role when it comes to information activities in the respective countries.
